My top lip products.

Over the years I've found lipsticks, lip balms and lip glosses that I've loved and I wanted to share them with all of you.

1. Marvelips by Soap and Glory

My go to lip pencil, I love the natural colour it gives. It's a very drying lip pencil but I absolutely love it when I wear it despite this. It's a very Kyle Jenner lip product and I would definitely recommend this product.

2. Maybelline color sensational lipstick in the shade coral tonic- 422

Beautiful colour. I wear this on special occasions or when I'm on holiday and I'm wearing just masacara and concealer.
It's a very moisturising lipstick but needs topping up a lot!

3. Soap and Glory sexy mother Pucker extremely-plump in the shade- pink out loud.

This lipgloss is an amazing product. I introduced this to my best friend when she ask to borrow something to put on her lips when we were going to a party. I told her to try this and she absolutely fell in love with it. She never bought her own but was continuing to use mine whenever we went anywhere together. In the end I bought her , her very own one and she's still in love with it today! I don't go anywhere without this in my bag. There is a tingly sensation with this product which is natural so if you ever experience that with this product it's normal!

4. Kiko velvet may lipstick in the shade -612
This lipstick is a beautiful , rather natural with slight deep pink tint to it.

I absolutely love the colour. Though this product is drying it has beautiful packaging!

5. Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick in the shade -03
A beautiful nude colour I would definitely recommend purchasing. I will be repurchasing this product as it is amazing value for money and a lovely natural shade.
This is the nude lipstick I use when I want a more natural paler nude lip. It's very moisturising and long lasting.

#ThrowbackThursday

Today's blog is a throwback to the 4 years I have been in the Strictly Come Dancing (SCD) audience. My inspiration for this blog post came today when I walked into the sandwich shop near my uni, and saw a man I had seen before, this does not happen often in London then the girl with him turned around and I realised exactly who it was. It was two SCD professionals, Karen Hauer and Kevin Clifton. In case you don't know SCD is you can find out here>> http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006m8dq

I personally think its the best programme on the tv and i think it should be on the tv every week but it ony runs for 13 weeks I think it is, im not actually sure.

DISCLAIMER: this blog is to in no way brag or boast that I have been to strictly. It is to simply share with you my experience.

All pictures you see are taken at the after party which is for Production guests only, so again I was lucky enough to be a part of the Production guest list.

The first set of pictures are from my first time at SCD in 2011.

To go to SCD for the last 4 years has been an amazing experience. It is such an amazing TV show and I have been able to share the experience of meeting Strictly Come Dancing pro's and many celebrities with My Grandad (R.I.P), My Grandma, my Mum and my sister, I've even been able to take a friend one year. I know tickets are hard to come buy for SCD but if you are ever free or have the chance to go to the live shows or the tour then I highly suggest you go to experience this wonderful Programme.

Achieving and facing your fear.

During primary school I remember all the girls doing handstands and cart-wheels all over the grass at playtime. Apart from me. I was too scared to do them after breaking my wrist in year 2. I'd be the only one not doing them, because I could not face my fear.

I went through Primary and High School not being able to face my fear, even in PE when we did Gymnastics I could never do them, for I was too scared my wrist's would not take my body weight and it would snap. Sounds silly right? It may sound silly, and yes I think it does too now I sit down and think about it.

Fear's develop often when you create an image in your mind and your body tells your brain you can not do it. I know this first hand from experience of being a dancer. The more you tell your brain you can not do anything the more your fear develops and you end up not believing in yourself. You end up finding your doubting yourself and your under confident.

I came to University at the Royal Academy of  Dance studying a BA (Hons) in Ballet Education. I did not think in  a million years I would have to face my fear of handstand's. During class one week my teacher (who's amazing) was teaching a combo to the class and demonstrating the routine.

"A 5..6..7..8.. handstand, fall back sit on the floor and roll over your stomach like so".

My first thoughts were "OHHHHH MYYYY !!!! I want to cry". It came to practising it ourselves and the rest of my class threw themselves into it without any fear what so ever. I stood being the only one unable to do it. During that lesson I broke my fear, but keeping it small at first.

Now today after 15 or so weeks of doing handstands in my contemporary class, my fear is fading away and I have managed to gain more height in the handstand and I've managed to decrease my fear.
Getting over fears takes time because you brain is a powerful thing and most of the time we have our minds set that we can not do something. To face my fear I had to tell myself "I can do this". Start believing in yourself, easier said than done I know but start climbing the ladder to facing your fear and you've already made an Achievement!

Its Showtime.

It's Showtime!!!

It has become that time of year again when dance schools perform a end of year show. It can be a stressful time for all involved but when completed it can be so relieving!

This year my show will be my last at my dance school as I am going to uni to further my dance training so I can dance as a career. I will admit I am very nervous especially for this one because I want to leave knowing I've done myself proud and done the best I could. And to do that I go home after my dance lesson and during the week I practise the choreography so that I know what I am doing and therefore on show day I can perform the dance routines to the best of my ability (also means I don't go wrong because I don't know what I'm doing). I think the more practise you do the more you improve but also it helps to go over the routines if you show practise is only once a week can be helpful so you do not forget what you learnt the previous week.

During a show nerves can get the better of you and take over. Adrenalin kicks in and you become scared, which is natural for everybody before they go on stage. Everyone gets nervous before they perform even professionals so don't be worried, be confident and believe in yourself! Nerves can often leave you to forget what you are doing on stage and you feel like you've failed and let yourself down. But you haven't and you mustn't think that you have you should be proud with yourself for having the courage to go on stage and perform in front of people because some people can't even do that. If this should happen try and get back into the routine as quickly as possible and if necessary improvise so it does not look that you have gone wrong or forgotten the routine that way the audience will not realise, because after all they will not know the routine. If you should get nervous because you know lot's of people are watching the performance you have to imagine there is no one there watching you that is just you and the stage and your performing it to yourself. There's a hanging wall quote I have on my wall that says "Dance like no one is watching", if this helps I suggest you do it!

Before the start of a show I suggest you prepare yourself with everything you need, like hair accessories, tights and obviously most importantly your SHOES!!!! Make sure in the bag you take with you to your show that you have all the shoes you need.

Hair is also important because of 'Health and safety'. Ensure you have all the right items for your hair like, Pins, Grips (or Bobbie Pins), bun nets, bobbles and hairspray.

I hope this post helped or interested some of you thank you for reading an good luck in your dance shows if you have any upcoming performances! :)
